Golf in the fall. Skiing and snowboarding all winter.
At “Golf & Ski” you get the Road to Golf (VTG) for beginners or targeted training for advanced players – and a winter season with alpine skiing, park and powder in Hemsedal, Geilo and at Skagahøgdi (Gol).
Spring ends with a golf trip to Spain – sun, games and togetherness on green grass.⛳️

🏔️ The experience on the line

You get two seasons of both precision and speed – golf in the mountains and skiing in a snow paradise.

⛳ Golf (Aug–Oct / Apr–May)

Our home course is Hemsedal Golfalpin (18 holes) – a mountain course between Gol and Hemsedal with a range, putting and chipping areas and a pro shop.
The season starts in the fall and continues again in the spring.
You will receive both technique training, court play and guidance at your level.

We also play at Nesfjellet Golf (9 holes) in Nesbyen – a social club with a café, a good atmosphere and perfect conditions for both beginners and experienced players.

When spring comes, we travel to La Finca Golf Resort outside Alicante.
Here we train under the sun and blue skies, play on top courts and experience Spanish culture and community.
A highlight – and a perfect way to start the golf season. 🌞⛳️

❄️ Skiing & snowboarding (Nov–March)

When the snow comes, we swap sticks for skis or boards.
We train at Hemsedal Ski Center – a large and snow-sure facility with a long drop, park and varied terrain.
Skagahøgdi (Gol Ski Center) is only 10–15 minutes from the school, with nice views, varied skiing and easy evening logistics.
We also go to Geilo , known for its many trails and a great park – perfect for progression and flow. 🎿

🗺️ The Line Weeks

1️⃣ Vestfolduka – start of the season and the Road to Golf
We start the year in Vestfold and play on different courses.
Beginners take the Path to Golf (VTG) , while experienced players receive training sessions and course plans tailored to their own level.
Focus on technique, close play and course understanding – and plenty of time to get to know the gang. ⛳️

2️⃣ Sweden – autumn trip and golfing fun across the border
We are traveling to southern Sweden to play on beautiful courses with good conditions before the snow arrives.
Here you will get many hours on grass, inspiration and new challenges in a warmer climate.

3️⃣ Spain – spring trip to La Finca Golf Resort
We end the year with sun, golf and togetherness in Spain.
Both beginners and experienced players get top-level training and court play in warm surroundings - a perfect end to the year.☀️

🧰 Equipment and practical info

Golf & Ski is the line for those who want to combine golf, skiing and snowboarding – two seasons, one flow.
You don't need to be experienced – we provide guidance and a safe environment.

Equipment list:

  • Golf clubs (own bag recommended)

  • Golf gloves and shoes

  • Skiing or snowboarding

  • Helmet and ski goggles

  • Warm clothes and gloves

  • Backpack for trips

  • Clothing for strength and mobility training

The school has agreements with local players for good prices on equipment and season tickets.
Simulators and training equipment are available at the school, and we have space for safe storage of golf equipment.

💰 Price for the school year 25/26

Full year: NOK 158,900
Half year (winter/spring): NOK 80,000

Loan Fund:
Provides loans/grants of NOK 112,290.
(60% loan / 40% scholarship upon completion of the year and less than 10% undocumented absence).

Everything is included: food, lodging, internet, electricity, activities and travel – including the golf trip to Spain 🇪🇸
Dietary or single room supplements are additional.

⛳ Cathrine Schrøder Norderhaug – Partner for Golf & Ski

Cathrine Schrøder Norderhaug is Norway's first female professional golfer – a pioneer in Norwegian golf and an inspiration to many.
She has played on the Ladies European Tour , Ladies Asian Golf Tour and Swedish Golf Tour , and has victories and top finishes from several international tournaments.

After her professional career, Cathrine began as a coach, and has since shared her passion for golf through courses, guidance and club training.

At Hallingdal Folkehøgskole she contributes as a collaborator for the Golf & Ski course.
She helps us develop an exciting and professionally strong program, and connects skilled PGA coaches who provide guidance adapted to all levels - from new players to those who already have experience on the course.

For Cathrine, golf is about joy, security and mastery – not about becoming a pro.
She is passionate about making golf accessible and fun, and places great emphasis on community, flow and development in a safe environment.
