At Hallingdal Folk High School you get to try new things, experience raw nature and meet people who can quickly become friends for life.
Here you can choose between lines within skiing and snowboarding, outdoor activities, golf, yoga, pet sitting and motocross, in the middle of the mountains of Hallingdal.
With us, the year is not just about the course you are taking. It is also about boarding life, the community and all the little moments between the trips, meals and evenings at school.
You live close to others, learn new things about yourself and get to challenge yourself in a safe environment. The teachers are with you on trips, in everyday life and around the dinner table, not just in the classroom.
The school is located in Gol , midway between Hemsedal and Geilo , surrounded by mountains, snow and nature. Here you will find speed, adventure and time to breathe.
This is not a normal school year.

It is easy to get to Gol, by car, train or bus.
The Bergen Railway from Bergen in the west to Oslo in the east takes you several times a day to Gol station. From there it is a short trip by car, taxi or on foot to the school.
If you come by car - cross both Rv.7 (Oslo-Bergen), Rv. 52 (Hemsedalsfjellet) and Rv. 51 (From Lillehammer/Gjøvik over Golsfjellet) through Gol.
Buses from the south, east and west also stop daily at the Skysstasjonen in the center of Gol.
