School trip
Beautiful Italy!
We end the school year with a joint trip to idyllic Peschiera del Garda , on the shores of beautiful Lake Garda .
Here we enjoy the feeling of summer, the world's best ice cream, laughter, sun and fellowship.
The Italian cuisine, the beach, swimming and experiences provide a perfect end to the year.
In Peschiera it is easy to find activities that suit all our lines – there is something for every taste.
🏡 We are staying at Bergamini Camping
During our stay we will stay in cozy cabins at Bergamini Camping – with their own outdoor swimming pool and views of the sea.
From the cabin door it is just a few steps down to the beach.
We like to start the day with a short walk, yoga or a morning bath for those who want to.
During the week there will be a boat trip, bike ride, mountain hike, sea kayaking and stand up paddleboarding – and of course lots of beach life and time to just enjoy.

Collaboration week
🤝 Collaboration and community
At the start of the school year, we have a special week where everything is about collaboration, community, and getting to know each other across the lines.
The students are divided into groups and given new challenges every day – tasks that must be solved together, with creativity, cooperation and good humor.
The goal is simple: to get to know each other better, feel safer in the group, and build a strong school environment from day one.
Collaboration is one of our most important core values, and this week lays the foundation for the rest of the year.
💬 The students particularly highlight the togetherness, laughter and security they experience during the week – and the joy of getting to know almost everyone at school.

This is a pleasant and meaningful week where we focus on choices and values .
The goal is to inspire you to make conscious choices in life – based on what really matters to you.
We want to show that anything is possible , and that each of us creates our own life through the choices we make.
As we usually say: Only you can live your life.
To convey this, we invite exciting people from different backgrounds to share their stories – about choices, consequences and the way forward.
Through lectures, conversations and reflection, we illuminate many aspects of choosing – and perhaps you will discover something new about yourself along the way.
Local involvement

For Hallingdal Folkehøgskole it is important to be an active part of the local community .
We want to contribute, create meeting places and give something back to the village we are a part of.
Throughout the year we participate in many great events and collaborative projects:

Packing food boxes for Christmas together with the Salvation Army
