Administration
Hallingdal Folk High School is fortunate to have a skilled administration with a lot of good expertise and experience.

Beate Aas - Principal
Beate has a background from Osloskolen, Tønsberg and Risør, but has now settled in Gol - and has really grown to love the surrounding mountains. She loves winter, snowboarding and outdoor activities, and enjoys hiking as much as she does with her students.
She is easy to recognize by her energy, her laughter and the tattoo on her calf with the motto "Just do it". Beate is passionate about creating good experiences with students, and believes that people learn best when they are challenged, mastered - and have fun along the way.

Cristina Moran Kjølstad - Assistant Principal and Teacher
Cristina is Spanish/Norwegian and has lived in Mexico, Spain, Norway and France.
She had the biggest culture shock when she moved to Hallingdal from Oslo 5 years ago. Cristina has now adopted words like "stusligstugo", "gommo" and "vi fär sjå". She has a background in psychology, social anthropology and pedagogy with work experience in the humanitarian industry, school and as a flight attendant. She loves hiking and changes hobbies every 3 months. In summary, she is a bit good at a lot of things, can be used for a lot of things, but most of all she is concerned with laughing with others (and herself) every day.
